Less than 2 lbs., this tripod is essential for the serious photographer. The 3-way head piece is easy to maneuver and adjust to lock. The legs are sturdy and can set level on any surface; carpet, grass, concrete, hillsides, etc. with the non-skid legs. If you prefer a constant angle, you can easily lock the head in place to hold. For a perfect balance, the `bubble level' guarantees your shots or video will be spot-on. The legs can collapse to 24" in height or extend to 52". Every point in between is achievable with the locking channel legs. I have taken my Vidpro just about anywhere I want to shoot stable shots and video. Its size and light weight make it easy to carry around. I actually prefer this to my 6" to 12" height "mini-D' tripod.
