Card organization system May 26, 2010 GL (South Jersey) Our family has multiple cameras and devices that utilize memory cards. The item was purchased for storage and organization to make certain the cards are ready to go when we are. The case has the features necessary, but isn't as sturdy as I expected. It will get the job done and provide organization within the larger camera bags we own.
serves its purpose. January 2, 2010 Desiree Hayes (Southern CA) Handy little carrier for CF cards. It serves its purpose. Great for wedding photographers to keep all their CF cards in one case (you might need two since it only holds 6 cards.) The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that when its full, its kind of hard to zip up.
The Only One For Me! June 1, 2009 Corey A. Doyle (North Canton, Ohio) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As a professional photographer I not only need a card reader that holds numerous cards, but one that silently will open and close so that during weddings I am not obtrusive when changing cards.
This card wallet does exactly what I need it to - holds cards securely and allows me to access them quickly and silently.
While there are other wallets out there, the majority of the ones designed for pros close with velcro which is the most obnoxious noise in the midst of a ceremony.
Store your memory cards safely October 17, 2008 Tom Bonner (Gastonia, NC, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As my collection of Compact Flash cards accumulated, I realized I needed a way to store them where they would be safe and I would be able to access them quickly. I found this inexpensive case to be perfect for my needs. It can carry six memory cards in individual pouches, zipped into a Koskin (faux leather) case.
I can drop this case into my camera bag and feel confident that all my cards are safe and accessible. It also has a loop to allow it to hang it from a belt. I like being able to carry my cards on my belt, so even if I am away from by bag, I have ready access to my spare memory cards.
I don't remember where I learned about this trick, but I follow a practice of placing cards that are ready to use face up in this case. When I fill up a card, I remove it from the camera and place it back into the case face down. That way I instantly can tell which cards have free space and which contain images I need to upload to my computer.
Cases made of metal or hard plastic may offer slightly better protection from impacts and moisture. Still, I've been using this case for a couple of years without a problem. Considering the low cost and the ability to keep my CF cards organized, I think it represents an excellent value.
Does the job right September 15, 2008 J. Andrew Bentley (NC USA) If you are looking for a case that holds all your flash memory cards and sticks, this is probably a good one for you.
Its a bit on the small side, made mainly for 6-12 flash memory cards, but you could probably fit 1-2 usb sticks in there too. It zips up and makes life easier to keep up with.
But this is not for you if you are looking to keep multiple usb sticks inside. Get this with the intent of keeping flash cards only.
