| Customer Reviews: Adequate for what it is intended for April 19, 2010 J. Riquelme (Space Coast, Florida) I needed a floating marine binocular that can be tossed in the hold to be used occasionally on the boat. These are not bird watching quality. The "range finder" is nothing more than reticules on the lens which you take a siting and then must calculate the distance...sorry but I left my non-floating slide-rule at home. The compass is adequate. So that leaves me with a simple mediocre floating binocular. It will serve well the purpose for which I bought it. Other than that, there is not much I am going ask from these binoculars because I feel the answer will be "no."
Cheap, but not worth it! May 20, 2009 Erik Pullman (Alaska) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm always on the lookout for a bargain, but these binoculars were not it. The optics were fair, but not bright. Most importantly, the pair I received were not waterproof. If you plan to take these boating and store them in a humid environment, be prepared for fogging problems. In addition, the focus adjustment is very poorly engineered. The internal compass was well lit, but is not damped well enough for small boat use. Spend a bit more for something better.

The viewing quality is great! Wide field of vision and 7X works great on the ocean, any more magnifacation would cause shaky viewing without digital stabilization. They feel good in your hands and have a good weight to them.I'm not sure if they float(not willing to test). They come with a wide neckstrap from extended wear without chafing, very comfortablt. The only thing that I don't like is the rangefinder. It's too complicated to use!You must know the height of an object to verify range, then adjust the lens dials to focus stadia line. They are an excellent value and a great deal!
