Great for my Canon XSi June 28, 2010 J. C. Westbrook (Walla Walla, WA) I bought this to carry my Canon Digital Rebel XSi and it fits well. The construction of the bag is great - heavy stitching and lots of padding. The top flap overlaps the zipper which helps to keep the elements out - I appreciate that feature even if it is cumbersome to zip the bag shut at times. I found that after I took the camera out once, I just used the clip to close the bag for the rest of the day. The inside of the bag easily fit the XSi (with the stock lens) and a Powershot Digital Elph SD 870IS and both battery chargers - with a little space left over. There are adjustable padded dividers for the main compartment that you can move to better fit your camera as well. There are straps on each side of the bag to attach other Tamrac accessories - like small lens cases. The front zipper pouch can hold several memory cards - and I kept my Blackberry in there as well. There is also a pouch along the back of the bag that could hold things like maps, a passport, or other items that you need to get to quickly. I was completely satisfied with the bag - and the price was right.
Perfect for my D3000 May 28, 2010 R. King bought this for my D3000 with the stock lens. the cam fit perfectly and the bag has a lot of extra space for another lens or other stuff. it feels pretty solid and that it would protect my camera incase i drop the bag. comfortable to carry, perfect for trips. oh, and the price is really good for what you'll get.
Great for beginners May 27, 2010 Keepers Treasures This is a good bag for beginners in photography. But if you plan to become a professional (more SLR lenses, equipment, etc), then you will have to upgrade. I had the bag for four years while carrying a Nikon D50 SLR and it last a very long time.
Perfect Fit For The Canon XSi/450D May 16, 2010 Avid Reviewer (San Jose, CA) This Tamrac case is a perfect fit for my Canon XSi/450D DSLR camera. It has plenty of pockets and is amply padded to protect your camera and accessories. I simply love it!
Features
--------
- Adjustable Compartments
There are two partitions, each with 4 Velcro flaps (2 on each side), that stick to the inner walls of the case. By moving these partitions, the size of the compartments can be adjusted. The partitions can be removed completely if you desire. (Tip: with the partitions removed, the case makes a good lunch box because the walls of the case are very generously padded and provide very good insulation.)
- Generous Padding
The bottom and the walls of the case and the partitions are generously padded, so your equipment will be very well protected, even from a substantial bump. Each of the partitions have a padded top flap that folds down to act as a protective cover over the top of contents in a partition.
- Plenty of Pockets
The case has 6 additional pockets for putting your flash cards, batteries, filters, lens cloth/blower, adapter rings, remote shutter release, lens hoods, and other accessories. (1 pocket on the top of the cover, 1 pocket on the underside of the cover, and 4 pockets in the front zipper compartment.)
- Padded Shoulder Strap
The padded shoulder strap has 2 loops (one on each side) for attaching your cell phone, flashlight, sunglasses, and other small items. The shoulder strap can be removed if you wish.
- Top Handle
A handle is attached to the top cover of the case so you can conveniently grab the case and go.
- Superb Construction
The construction of the case is top-notch. It is well-stitched and sturdy. The material from which it is made appears to be very high quality, so I expect the case to last a long time. The nylon lining inside the case makes the case water-resistant.
- Secure Closure
The case can be closed by using the plastic buckle and/or the double zippers. You have a choice of using either the buckle or zippers, or BOTH. I usually just use the plastic buckle so I can get my camera in and out of the case quickly.
Additional Notes
----------------
- Accomodates the XSi with Battery Grip Attached
I was pleasantly surprised that the case is able to accommodate my camera with the battery grip attached; otherwise it would be a real pain to have to detach the battery grip every time I need to put the camera back in the case! To fit my XSi with the battery grip into the case, I have to orient the camera such that the length of camera is parallel to the shorter sides of the case.
---
The Tamrac Camera Bag is well-made, and functional. Most importantly, the case is amply padded, so it will keep your camera and accessories well-protected. Highly recommended.
