Customer Reviews: Perfect Bag for the GH1 and 20mm Lens December 14, 2009 B. Fuller (United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This bag is the perfect bag for the Panasonic DMC-GH1 12MP Four Thirds Interchangeable Lens Camera with 1080p HD Video and Panasonic LUMIX G 20mm f/1.7 Aspherical Pancake Lens for Micro Four Thirds Interchangeable Lens Cameras combo (Obviously this bag is good for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 12.1MP Digital Camera with Lumix G Vario 14-45 mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH Mega OIS Lens (Red) also). The construction on this bag is excellent and it has plenty of padding to protect the camera. The camera snugs right in there and is a comfortable fit--Not too tight and not too loose. (Note: I do not face the camera down in the bag. I put it in sideways with the grip on top. That way when I open the bag I can grab the grip and go). The strap has a nice shoulder pad that distributes the weight and the strap is long enough for the bag to be at my hip and I am 6' tall. The handle is nice and padded and comfortable to carry around in your hand if you don't want it on your shoulder. Finally, the has the quick release snap. I keep my camera in the bag when I am street shooting and when I see what I want to shoot I push open the snap, pull the camera out and fire away.
Please note that I do not have the shoulder strap on my GH1. I use a wrist strap. While that fits fine in the bag, I am not sure that a shoulder strap would not be a pain to stuff in there.
