Product Description
Pop-Up Shades are LCD screen protective covers, which double as glare guards. These sturdy, lightweight covers are easily installed (and removed), protect a digital camera's expensive LCD screen in the closed position, and pop up to provide easier viewing of the display in bright sunlight. The cover easily pops up to form a little three sided canopy over the LCD to diminish glare, and folds right back down when you're finished. A camera grade, optically clear glass (itself protected with a clear protective film cover to prevent shipping scratches) continues to guard the LCD screen when the shade is up. Snap on covers literally hook onto the grooves in your camera. Buttons on the Professional shade are aligned with your camera, to reduce the wear and tear on delicate parts and components. Color and design matches your camera model. Pop-Up Shades differ from alternatives on the market, being made with hard impact plastic that snaps shut over the camera's LCD screen. Unlike other one size fits all LCD hoods on the market that fold or are designed with a bellows look, Pop-Up Shades are designed specifically for every individual camera model. Every Pop-Up shade snaps into place with the flick of a finger to shade the screen from bright light.

5 out of 5 stars Must have!   July 11, 2010
M. Burch (Las Vegas, NV)
This is a must have for your DSLR. I love it, it helps me review my photos in the sunlight by shielding the screen from the sun and it also protects the screen from scratches. It is solid and well made, not cheap junk. I have had it for about a year and a half and it has been all over Alaska, down the Pacific Coast highway from Washington to LA, Las Vegas to Denver to Alabama to Virginia, and everywhere in between. Quality product, if you are thinking about buying this dont waste any more time, you will not be disappointed!

1 out of 5 stars Bad, bad item to purchase   March 3, 2010
Oscar L. Lehman (Yuma, AZ)
I ordered 2 of these, 1 which was bad and a replacement, both being bad. the top of it fits fine onto the camera but they do not snap onto the bottom and risks damaging the camera and the unit itself. I will not use it for that reason. They wouldn't give my money back. Purchase at your own risk but remember I told you not to buy it. Oscar L. Lehman

3 out of 5 stars Idea not thought through   January 24, 2010
Michael B. Emfinger (Bossier City, LA)
Item works like it is suppose to, but it gets in the way of reveiwing pictures istantly. You're constantly having to open it to veiw your picture. They would have been smart to make the cover out of plexi glass, so you can veiw your screen without having to open it and still be able to protect it. Great idea, but was not thought through. Maybe I should patent it.

5 out of 5 stars camera protection   September 30, 2009

Looking for a way to protect the back of my EOS 50D camera. This works well and provides stray light from striking the viewing window. A nice attachment when
useing live view. A decent price and would recommend if you want to protect the back.

1 out of 5 stars Not useful   September 13, 2009

I was hoping for a great shade and got one that didn't fit well on my 50D, was annoying to use, and didn't provide the shade it was supposed to. Stay away from this product and just put your hand over the viewer :)
