Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Hewlett-Packard Photosmart A826 Compact Photo Printer allows you to easily view and print your photos and thumbnails and navigate menus using the enormous 7" color touchscreen and the included stylus. Draw or write captions on photos with the stylus or your finger or add captions and stories via the touchscreen keyboard. The printer can also be used as a digital photo frame - thanks to the large display; then as images appear, you can select them to print with a touch of your finger. You can even use the Photosmart A826 to design personalized greeting cards with the help of more than 200 borders, graphics, frames and effects built right into the unit. Furthermore, you'll be able to immediately hand out prints without smudging or smearing because the prints dry virtually instantly and you can preserve your photos for generations since the lab-quality prints resists fading. The printer also includes a built-in, paper tray that can hold up to 100 sheets of HP Advanced Photo paper.

Customer Reviews:
Really great. October 14, 2008 I'm no professional photographer...I just had some family pics to print out. This thing was crazy easy to use. Crazy easy. Great quality.
The WORST photo printer I have ever owned! July 22, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
My husband purchased the HP Photosmart A826 for me as a Christmas gift. I have had problems with it from the start. All of the problems are with loading the paper. It doesn't matter if you put 1 or 100 sheets of photo papar in the little bugger it ALWAYS says paper not loaded correctly or that there is no paper loaded. I got so mad at it today, I purposefully threw it on the floor and broke it! My birthday is in 4 days... hope I get a smaller, less fancy, paper loading friendly, EPSON or Cannon photo printer!
great photo printer July 14, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I liked this printer so much I bought two. The capabilities of this device are remarkable. I use it daily in my dental practice for many purposes. I just slide in an SD card from my camera and within seconds my photos are on the screen ready to print. I gave one to our daughter who loves to take pictures. She places postcard labels on the back and sends them as postcards with her family photos on them. The A826 appears as a small computer, like an old Mac, and you can do onscreen editing such as crop, brightness control, remove redeye, place printing or hand writing in many colors on the photo and place multiple photos on one page. It prints on 4x6 and 5x7 paper. I recommend the 110 photopack at $35 and 30 cents per photo. I found a need to turn off a function I think was called Brightness Enhance because the skin tones were turning out too dark. Also, don't let the photos stack up since the ink is still wet when they drop out of the printer. I love purchasing from Amazon but if you are in a hurry to see and buy this printer Office Depot has them on display but I've never found an employee that knows anything about them.
