Product Description Optional Plug-in Radio Transmitter Module: Electronic flash units and/or cameras can be triggered wirelessly from either the L-608, L-608CINE or L-358 meter`s optional plug-in, multi-channel digital radio transmitter. No more tripping over synch cords, or fumbling with PC connectors. Compatible with all PocketWizard Digital Radio Receivers, these meters can simultaneously trigger and measure your electronic flash units up to 100 feet away. You can also select through the meter`s software, "Quad Triggering mode" which provides you with up to four zones of lighting control remotely. Now you can individually measure several flash units wirelessly with the touch of the meter`s measuring button, without walking over to each light and turning them on or off. You can even trigger motor driven cameras from the meter. Part of the Digital Wireless Freedom system, the L-608, L-608CINE and L-358 are wireless exposure meters and exposure makers. PocketWizard Digital Radio Receivers (sold separately) must be connected to flash unit.

Unclear Version Advertised!! November 1, 2008 I have a sekonic L-358 CE version and bought a sekonic RT32 transmitter that happens to be an FCC version that caught me by surprise because I couldn't get my transmitter to work....I only realized that when my light meter vendor told me that FCC and CE versions don't match. Had this been clear on this site I would have not made the mistake....and this is a warning to those who are planning to buy...make sure both meter and transmitter are of the same frequency...either both are CE or FCC....
Must have if you use Pocket Wizards August 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have the Sekonic L358, but I bought it without this module thinking I didn't really need it. I managed for a short while...You have keep a PW transmitter in your hand (or camera around your neck) to fire the strobes and the meter in your other hand where you want take a reading. I becomes quite awkward when you need make any adjustments to your strobes since you have let these things hang around your neck or put something in your pocket. This little module actually frees up your hands and you can keep your heavy camera from swinging around your neck while you make adjustments.
If you plan on using a light meter a lot and choose the L358, do yourself a favor and get this module with it. This module will make your life a lot easier and save you some time in the end.
Must have piece of equipment July 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I honestly don't know how any studio photographer using a Sekonic light meter could do without this unit. The idea of having to run sync cords back and forth to strobes and then running back and forth yourself between your different strobes to get a reading seems absurd. The time savings alone justify the cost of the unit.

This item is indispensable for off-camera flash photography.
It is easy to install and reliable..
I use it with Pocket Wizards. The Sekonic unit has 16 radio channels and the Pocket Wizards have 4. The instructions don't tell you channels 1-4 map to the Pocket Wizards.
Amazon would not let me use a gift VISA card along with my VISA credit card to make this purchase. Because Amazon does not tell you this before you attempt to do it, I wasted a lot of time. I will never buy from Amazon again.
