Product Description These attractive Delkin camera skins take protection far beyond the competition. Snug-Its incorporate a revolutionary new design feature. Intricate molding results in flexible silicone petals that protect the lens itself. Other skins only have a cutout to allow the lens to expand and retract - the exclusive Snug-It lens petals open and close over the lens as it moves in and out. No other camera skin offers protection this complete. Snug-It skins are custom molded, ensuring a perfect fit and full functionality for every camera model. All controls are molded into the skin, which makes usingthe camera simple. Need to change a battery, replace a memory card or hook up the camera to a computer? All standard camera functions are easily used without removing the skin.* Snug-It skins come with a plastic LCD cover to keep debris off and prevent scratches and fingerprints to the camera's screen. Cameras with touch screens are accommodated with a clever swing open design for the LCD cover, allowing easy access. A stylus is included to prevent fingerprints on the LCD. The high quality silicone is smooth, not tacky, and resists lint and debris far more than other camera skins. Smudges or any dirt that may be picked up are simply wiped off the skin. The premium silicone allows easy insertion of the camera into its specially molded Snug-It, and then into a pocket or bag. Snug-It skins are available in stylish black, white and pink and will be ava

Nice compact case October 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A nice form-fitting case to protect your SD1100 camera from scratches and dings. It lets you easily carry the camera in a pants pocket.
I had a few minor concerns that caused me to shave off a point:
The case is basically a silicone "skin" to cover your camera. Doesn't look like it would protect against dropping quite as well as a thicker case - however, the silicone surface does provide a more non-slip grip than the camera's metal body - so drops may be less likely to occur in the first place. There may be a bit less of a chance of accidentally switching on the power with the case on - although to play it safe, keep your camera switched to the "Display" mode when not in use, so as to help protect the lens extension mechanism from possible damage.
The clear plastic shield over the LCD screen is loosely held in place by a molded-in groove. In a coat or pants pocket, it looks like the shield could shift or even fall out. You will need to remove the shield in order to remove the case, however this will rarely be necessary - everything is accessible with the case in place.
Finally - you can't view the camera's control button markings beneath the skin. It may be a good idea to learn what all the buttons do before "installing" the case.
Overall, a recommended buy.
Far exceeded expectations October 2, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've been an all-too-frequent Amazon customer since their first year of operation and this is the first time I've ever been moved to write a review...and for a camera skin of all things.
But this is a brilliantly designed item, a really simple sleeve exquisitely designed which fits perfectly and with precision around my SD1100--and feels good in the hand - the rubber-like surface of the silicone actually makes the camera easier to handle. I had expected that I would have had to trade in some sensitivity in operating the controls through the silicone case, but this has happily not been the case. It's one of the few times that the sell copy above described the item absolutely accurately and without exaggeration, so that I won't bother to reiterate the skin's features here.
The skin ships with a clear hard protector for the lcd screen (hadn't expected this bonus - but had just not read the sell copy carefully enough) which seems very good protection for the lcd screen, and I will happilily allow it to collect the scratches otherwise reserved for the lcd. Also comes with a white camera strap - seems a bit superfluous, since one came with the camera itself, which looks a bit more sturdily made - but why complain.
All in all, a terrific product.
BTW, also bought the actual SD1100 camera from Amazon--after reading every conceivable review of cameras in its class. It's a fabulous piece of equipment as well - but since it has more than enough positive reviews, I won't waste my verbiage on it but would highly recommend to just about anyone.
