 Must have remote, well worth the money January 8, 2009
This remote works great if you have people in or visiting your house that have no idea how to switch your entertainment system between cable, dvd, video games, cds, etc. The remote turns on the correct components, changes the input settings and switches the volume control to the correct device for the activity you just selected. It is easy to program via your computer and you can customize every possible aspect, down to reassigning what each button does. The only potential complaint I have is that the volume and channel up/down buttons are a little too small, but other than that it works great. With the charging system, you don't even have to buy batteries.
great remote January 7, 2009
I never thought I would be so excited about a tv remote but this thing is better than I ever hoped. It is very easy to set up and even easier to use. My wife even likes it and she is not a fan of all my electronic goodies so she was the ultimate test and it passed with flying colors. One touch of "watch tv" or "watch dvd" and this remote does the rest it is simply a great tool if you have several things to control.
The first truly universal remote we've owned January 7, 2009
The remote is great for replacing the big basket of remotes that formerly graced our mantle top. The customization seems to work well and the remote is fairly intuitive with the button layout. I love that it lights up as soon as you pick it up so that if the room is dark you can see the buttons. I'll give it 5 stars for being truly universal. The real test will be if our babysitter can just pick it up and work everything.
Programming the remote is only fair. You have to be prepared to play around a bit with the set up and I find it strange that you have to log in each time to update your remote. I was tempted to lower my overall rating to 4 stars because the software is not outstanding, but I am so grateful that I can actually use just a single remote that I have to give more weight to that factor.
Greatest Remote EVER January 7, 2009
Most user friendly and easy to use remote ever! Easy to program and even easier to use. It actually controls everything that requires a remote control. I would highly recommend the item! I actually programmed it to control everything in my home that requires a remote. No problems whatsoever and so easy to use. At the moment it controls all TVs, home theater system, ceiling fans, roomba robot, ipod sound docks, etc. etc.
Remote even updates automatically with new products when connected to the internet. This is the remote to own and have!

The only thing that would work is the volumn on the plasma TV. I removed the program from the computer and will download it all over again.Maybe it might work this time.
